Shopping - New Disney Store Outlet

Hello, parents! This morning will bring in a new rush to the Gilroy Outlets do parents and kids alike. Today at 10:00 am, the new Disney Store Outlet is opening! They are giving away gifts to the first 500 shoppers and I'll provide an update as to what they offer later today.

9:25 update - The crowd is growing and the store doesn't open for 30 more minutes... To kill the time, a Disney Store Employee is asking trivia questions and giving away magnets and keychains. Luckily, daddy watched Tron: Legacy and I could answer a question!

9:32 update - they gave away Disney Store mouse ears to everybody!

Children's Books - Author Signing @ Oakridge Mall, July 28th

Hi, everyone!  On Saturday, July 28th at 1:00 pm, BookSmart Kids at Oakridge Mall (San Jose) will be presenting "Gabby Giggles" Book Reading and Signing Event with C. Toni Grahm, a local San Jose Children's Book Author.  The newly released book will be read by the author, followed by personalized book signings.  BookSmart Kids is located next to the Food Court Area, closest to Jamba Juice.

Activities - Teddy Bear Picnic at Happy Hollow (Today!)

It’s a teddy bear picnic! Bring your teddy bears and their friends! Join the fun in the meadow for a special day! Join us for a picnic story time, a sing-along and a make-and-take bear craft. Bring your blankets and picnic lunch or buy a lunch in the Picnic Basket! We will also be having a special animal Show featuring “Sierra” the American Black Bear! Teddy bear vet technicians will be on hand to repair your thoroughly loved teddy bears.
No reservations required. Included with regular admission.

Food (Free!) - Today is National 7-11 Free Slurpee Day!

To celebrate it's birthday, 7-Eleven is offering free Slurpees today (Wednesday, July 11th) between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm at participating 7-Eleven Stores across the U.S. 

Activities (Free!) - Fireworks Every Sat. (Jul/Aug)

Good afternoon, everyone!  If you and your kids were not able to get your fill of fireworks during the Fourth, you are in luck.  Every Saturday in July and August, Great America is having a fireworks show!  The fireworks are scheduled to be shot off at 9:30 pm and after contacting a customer service rep at Great America, I was told that the best place to view the display is the back of the Great America Parking Lot.  The actual fireworks are launched near the Xtreme Skyflyer Ride, as shown below.
